Teenagers are sentenced after murder of 16-year-old in southern Stockholm

The 16-year-old was shot dead in Bagarmossen in southern Stockholm in July last year -- two days after another high-profile shooting in the area. Now a 17-year-old is being sentenced for her murder and a 15-year-old for accessory to murder.

A 16-year-old boy was shot dead in Bagarmossen in southern Stockholm last July. Two young men have now been convicted of murder and accessory to murder. They are also convicted of preparing to murder an Allsvenskan player.

Almost nine years in prison. That's what a 17-year-old from Härnösand was sentenced to after the murder in Bagarmossen this summer. The identified accomplice was sentenced to two years and three months in closed juvenile detention.

From 1 July of this year, people who committed a murder between the ages of 16 and 18 may be held in custody.
