The scheme in which a father and his 17-year-old son "feigned" the bill at 40 restaurants in France. The two were arrested
A father and his 17-year-old son have been arrested in France after they managed to defraud no fewer than 40 restaurants in the Var region over a three-year period. The pair would eat their fill and leave without paying, using the same scheme: they would claim their bank card had been declined, leave an identity card as collateral, then declare it lost and never return. The total damage is estimated at 3,000 euros.

They were smokin' dozens of restaurants without paying the bill, a father and his son being arrested in the Var.
A quadrennial and his 17-year-old son were arrested this Thursday morning in Toulon as part of an investigation into a series of filouterie offences to the detriment of many restaurants in the Var, one learned from a police source confirming information from the radio Ici Provence.
