Galați police officers had an atypical mission: they were called to rescue a man hanging from a viaduct, who was trying to commit suicide. The intervention, which also involved firefighters, was a success, as the man was saved.

A 42-year-old man from Galati who was planning to jump off a viaduct was saved at the last minute by four police officers. They temporarily secured him with improvised straps, and an ISU crew managed to cut the protective fence outside which he was standing.
