Advocates skeptical of Canada's plan to grant status to undocumented construction workers

The Canadian government is carving a path to residency for undocumented construction workers to help fill the industry's labour shortage.

In ten years, thousands of plumbers have been added to the Netherlands. At the beginning of this year, more than 11,000 were registered. In 2015, there were still around 7,000, according to figures requested by the ANP from the Chamber of Commerce (KVK). Nevertheless, there is still a shortage of these professionals.
