COLVILLE, Wash. -- A possible wolf sighting near a local high school has people worried about going outside.

Possible wolf sighting near Colville High School under investigation

COLVILLE, Wash. – The Stevens County Sheriff’s Office and Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife are investigating a potential wolf sighting near Colville High School and Dominion Meadows Golf Club on Tuesday.

The prefecture of the Landes confirmed on Monday the presence of a grey wolf in the department. The animal reportedly attacked a farm in Castets on several occasions.

The wolf is increasingly concerned by herders, especially in the Landes, where its presence was confirmed by the prefecture of the department on Monday 31 March. Several herd attacks have been recorded.
