Comeback of the Airbus A380: Passengers love the double sticker

20 years ago, the ambitious Airbus A380 started its first flight. Because its successors are delayed, it is allowed to take off again on several airlines.

When it first took off from the runway in Toulouse, France, on April 27, 2005, there were only six people on board. The largest airliner, the Airbus A380, immediately impressed pilots with its ease of handling. Let's remember this giant, which can accommodate up to 853 passengers in a fully economy configuration, and is celebrating its 20th anniversary.

The world's largest passenger aircraft will take off for the first time on 27 April 2005. The Hamburg plant is celebrating – and will deliver the last one in 2021.
