A blaze that broke out at Deerhurst Resort’s Antler Steakhouse early Friday morning (April 25) has been extinguished by fire crews, the Town of Huntsville says, but the resulting damage is said to be extensive.

The Huntsville/Lake of Bays Fire Department is reporting that it received a fire call at 6:30 a.m. this morning related to the Antler Steakhouse on Deerhurst Highlands Drive in Huntsville. Fire Chief Gary Monahan said the fire started in the attic and quickly spread. Various fire stations are on site. A release is expected later today.
