French court bins permits for largest onshore wind farm

Nancy's Administrative Court of Appeal ruled against the project of 63 wind turbines at Mont des Quatre-Faux Park in eastern France. A cold shower for EDF Renewables and the elected representatives of the surrounding municipalities who had been supporting the project for more than twenty years.

According to the court, the project "significantly aggravates the encirclement of the horizons of these villages" and "these attacks do not appear to be regularizable without a very significant development of the project"
