ASTUCE Spain denounces that the Basque Health Service denies the therapy of electric fields

In the letter sent to the Health Department of the Basque Government, ASTUCE Spain stresses that TTFields represent the only significant progress in the survival of patients with glioblastoma since the introduction of the standard of treatment 20 years ago, based on the combination of surgery, radiation therapy and chemotherapy with temozolomide (2005).

The Association of Patients with Brain Tumors and the Central Nervous System, ASTUCE Spain, has denounced the lack of access to electrical field therapy (TTFields) for patients with glioblastoma in Euskadi. A complaint that it makes public after receiving a negative response from the Basque Health Service (Osakidetza) to the application submitted by the association last February.
