Defendant Sentenced for Crimes Committed After Phoenix Murder
PHOENIX, AZ – Maricopa County Attorney Rachel Mitchell announced today that Manuel Carrasco Calderon has been sentenced to three and a half years in prison for his role in crimes committed after the murder of Bernardo Pantaleon. Upon release, he will also serve four years of supervised probation. On November 26, 2023, Bernardo Pantaleon was found murdered at Mountain View Park in Phoenix. Source

Officials announced on March 14 that Manuel Carrasco Calderon will serve time in prison in connection the murder of Bernardo Pantaleon in 2023. Carrasco Calderon was not charged with murder in connection with Pantaleon's death, but he was charged with assisting a criminal street gang and crimes against the dead.
