Fire at former JVA Celle: Asbestos complicates fire brigade use

On Saturday evening a barn on the Klosterhof next to the former JVA in Celle was set on fire. Because asbestos was installed in the roof, the soldering certificate set had to be interrupted in the meantime.

Celle (dpa/lni) – A barn fire at a former prison in Celle caused an estimated damage of around 250,000 euros. At the arrival of the operatives on Saturday evening, the entire 525-square-metre barn had already burned, the fire brigade reported.
