Swiss Marco Odermatt once again showed class in the alpine ski MK series as he earned the third stage victory of his career in the speed descent on the slopes of Wengen, Switzerland.

The longest World Cup downhill in Wengen was won in record time by Swiss favorite Marco Odermatt. He beat another home skier, Franj von Allmen, by 37 hundredths of a second, following on from last year's two victories on Lauberhorn. Czech representative Jan Zabystřan took 22nd place and scored points in three of the four downhills this season.

Nejdelší sjezd Světového poháru ve Wengenu vyhrál v rekordním čase švýcarský favorit Marco Odermatt. Dalšího domácího lyžaře Franja von Allmena porazil o 37 setin sekundy a navázal na dvě loňská vítězství na Lauberhornu. Český reprezentant Jan Zabystřan obsadil 22. místo a bodoval ve třech ze čtyř sjezdů v sezoně.

The Swiss Franjo von Allmen is actually considered too young to be at the top of the downhill races. He doesn't care; only one person was faster in Wengen. The next serious crash overshadowed the race.
