Over the 29 years of Viasna's work, there have been assistance to thousands of Belarusians, searches, confiscation of equipment, detentions and arrests of employees, trials for human rights activities. Currently, four leaders of Viasna are behind bars. Human rights defenders who are at large are working in new conditions of emigration.
