Boone County man dies in 3-vehicle crash in Hernshaw area of Kanawha County

Jacob Jones, 32, of Nellis, Boone County, died following a three-vehicle crash early on Jan. 31, 2025 near Hernshaw in eastern Kanawha County. At approximately 7:40 a.m., West Virginia State Police Sgt. R. R. Cervera responded to the 4800 block of Lens Creek Road (W.Va. 94), for a vehicle crash with entrapment, according to a new release from the WVSP. Jones died at the scene of the 3-vehicle crash.
