The President of the European Parliament, Roberta Metsola (EPP), says she is close to a breakthrough in the diplomatic dispute with China. As her staff confirmed to the "Handelsblatt" (Friday edition), negotiations are currently underway to lift the Chinese sanctions against several MEPs.
