The premises were considered a temporary solution when they were built in 1983. Now, after patients and staff at the child and adolescent psychiatry clinic in Gothenburg experienced breathing difficulties and nosebleeds, the facility is moving out of the moldy building. The solution: new temporary premises and fewer beds.
Bup in Gothenburg is being evacuated – patients are being sent home
Moisture damage, bad air and mold infestation – this is what has happened in Bup's premises at Östra Hospital in Gothenburg. The Swedish Work Environment Authority has announced that the premises are no longer allowed to conduct any business and the building is expected to be empty on Friday. – You shouldn't have to be treated in a hospital and feel worse, says Josefine Bergsten, the Health Care Association's safety representative.
