Vatican releases photos of Pope Francis' tomb as it opens for viewing

The Vatican released photos of the tomb of Pope Francis as it was opened for public viewing Sunday. He was buried in the Basilica of St. Mary Major in Rome on Saturday.

From very early - the doors of the temple opened at seven o’clock - a long line began to form to enter the imposing temple after crossing the security controls and paying tribute to Francis. His remains rest in a simple tomb – as he wished – with a tombstone with the inscription “Franciscus” and the reproduction of his pectoral cross and an image of the Good Shepherd.
