Cabinet puts a line through plastic tax

Summary by De Telegraaf
The 'circular plastic levy' that the government wanted to introduce in 2028 will not go ahead after all. Minister Hermans (Climate) is putting a stop to the measure from the main agreement that was supposed to yield more than 500 million euros per year and is going to look for another way to raise that money with the sector. The obligation to mix in 'clean plastic' will also be removed.
