Cobija declares red alert after flood and population fears more

The Mayor of Cobija (Pando) activated a red alert that will allow to attend to the affected families and activate contingency plans, due to the risk of more flooding and the overflow of the Bahia stream due to the last rains. Mayor Ana Lucía Reis announced the relief measure and explained that it contemplates the deployment of logistical support for transfers, medical assistance and humanitarian aid.
