A collision involving a train claimed the life of one man. Around 6:30pm Sunday, a CSX train struck a Ford F-150 truck at a railroad crossing on Walnut Street in Lumberton. 56-year-old Alfredo Hernandez was the sole occupant of the truck and was pronounced dead at the scene. The crossing remained closed as crews worked to clear the accident, but has since reopened. Further details were not immediately available.
