Colombia invests in construction of new SAF plant

The Colombian state-owned energy company Ecopetrol intends to invest between $500 and $700 million (around €451 to €632 million) in a plant for the production of Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF). Construction is scheduled to take place in the Barrancabermeja refinery, as Company President Ricardo Roa announced. Production is to start by 2030 and supply around 6000 barrels of SAF daily.
