Ferry Freedom Boost for Island Youths Aged 19 to 21

Grimstad Municipality has now joined the European exchange program Erasmus +. This means that young people between the ages of 16 and 19 can have an exciting summer.

Young islanders aged 19 to 21 will soon be eligible for free ferry travel to the mainland. From 23 June 2025, this age group can apply for concessionary ferry vouchers if they live on islands in Orkney, Shetland, the Outer Hebrides, North Ayrshire, Argyll and Bute or the Highland Council areas.
