Construction worker struck on I-77 near Marmet

MARMET, WV (WOWK) -- A construction worker was struck by a tractor-trailer near the 92.5 Mile Marker on I-77 Monday morning. Kanawha County Metro 911 said the worker was in a work zone was struck by the tractor trailer. Both of the southbound lanes of I-77 are currently shut down, according to dispatch. The West Virginia State Police are currently on the scene investigating the incident.
