Council expands Mitchell Regional Landfill capacity with $3.48 million purchase

MITCHELL – The city of Mitchell knows where it will store trash for another 215 years. The Mitchell City Council, during its regular meeting on April 21, approved a purchase agreement with Jim River Ridge Farms LLP to buy a 160-acre parcel of land west of the Mitchell Regional Landfill for $3.48 million.
