Council to consider funds for new low-barrier shelter
The resolution will allow the city to redirect previously approved funds of $350,000 for fiscal year (FY) 2026 and the remainder of $3500,000 of FY25 to Huntington’s City Mission Low-Barrier shelter to the city’s new low-barrier shelter at 96 Third Avenue West. The funds come from the city’s portion of opioid settlement funds from the West Virginia First Foundation.
