All this winter, through many a stormy afternoon, the UKES4U group I play with has been singing the Dolly Parton composition, “Wildflowers,” with the line, “wildflowers don’t care where they grow.” It was a nice thought on those blustery days to think of the coming of spring, and the return of the delicate roadside flowers that are already bringing colour to the still mostly brown roadsides.
