MIDWAY – What started out as a routine call to assist disabled motorists near here on April 19 ended with two individuals arrested on felony drug charges. According to Bertie County Sheriff Tyrone Ruffin, his department was notified of a disabled vehicle on US 17 near the Chowan River bridge. Sgt. M. Lawrence, Deputy J. Jenkins, and Deputy A.
