DOF Officializes Seed Producer for Welfare

The federal government yesterday published in the Official Journal of the Federation (DOF) the decree signed by President Claudia Sheinbuam Pardo that creates the Seed Producer for Welfare (Prosebien), a decentralized body whose central objective will be to increase the national production of qualified seeds, primarily for basic crops such as beans and rice, and thus reduce dependence on the import of that input.
