To combat overtourism, the authorities decided to extend the duration of the tourist tax in Venice (Italy), as during this Easter weekend. 100,000 tourists go to the city for the occasion, plus tens of thousands of daily visitors.

Starting on Good Friday, it will cost you again to enter Venice, at least for tourists who are not staying overnight in the city. Those who do not plan their visit will have to pay double what they did last year.
