EU and Japan Strengthen Data Protection Partnership

The Twenty-Seven have completed Monday's final procedure for formally adopting the agreement for the exchange of air passenger data between the European Union and Canada, a convention negotiated in 2023 to replace an earlier pact that the EU Court of Justice (TJUE) annulled on the grounds that it violated Fundamental Rights.
