In the debate on the remaining EU climate targets by 2040, EU Climate Commissioner Wopke Hoekstra has shown himself openly for concessions to skeptical countries such as the Czech Republic and Italy. "We will need some pragmatism," said Hoekstra on Thursday. He wants to present "until summer" officially a proposal for the EU target for CO2 reduction by 2040.
