Europe Battles to Win Favor in Central Asia

The European Union does poorly in the race to win influence in Central Asia, and will need to up its game to rivals.

For the past four years, the European Union has been buying more fossil fuels from Central Asian countries. This move has irritated Russia and China, which are reluctant to share the spoils they hold in their hands.

Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah arrived in the brotherly State of Kuwait yesterday to participate in the third meeting of the strategic dialogue between the countries of the Gulf Cooperation Council and the Central Asian countries.
