Former alderman of Oudenaarde Mathieu Mas has been sentenced to 6 months in prison with suspension, a fine of 4,000 euros and a 1-year driving ban with suspension after he was involved in a fatal accident. Mas hit a cyclist in Oudenaarde, the young man of 22 did not survive. The former alderman was under the influence of alcohol and was driving too fast. The cyclist was poorly lit, did not give way and was under the influence of cannabis.
