Father with ALS and son prepare for the Boston Marathon

ROCHESTER, Minn. (WSAV) -- For some, competing in a marathon could be considered quite the task. But not for one ALS patient who will wheel his way through the Boston Marathon in April. Although this is not the first time he is racing 26.2 miles while battling the neurodegenerative disease, Jeffrey Birkel and his son are preparing for the race in a special way.
