Heard lately: “Cold enough for you?” “Stay warm!” For the first time in recent memory, this winter has featured the kind of cold “we are supposed to have,” or at least what many of us baby boomers remember from growing up in the area. Local ponds and lakes have ice that is thicker than any of the past five or more winters.
