SURF CITY, NC (WWAY) — A cleaning chemical spill caused food to be thrown out at Surf City Elementary and Middle School. According to a Town of Surf City Facebook post, a cleaning chemical was accidentally spilled, prompting the fire department to respond as a precautionary measure.
