Sweden to have talks with Turkey about detained journalist Joakim Medin - Radio Sweden

Sweden needs to create a new organization within the Foreign Ministry to handle his and others' cases.

Over a week has passed since Joakim Medin was arrested in Turkey. Now the country's embassy in Sweden is commenting on the journalist's imprisonment. "The legal process is ongoing," they write in a comment to Expressen.

We are doing what we can to bring Joakim Medin home as quickly as possible,” said Foreign Minister Maria Malmer Stenergard (M) after meeting her Turkish counterpart in Brussels. “I was very clear,” the Foreign Minister said.

According to Malmer Stenergard, representatives of the countries will meet on Thursday or Friday.
