4 rescued, hospitalized after fire sweeps through Southside apartment building

Four people were taken to the hospital, at least one with serious injuries, after fire swept through a small apartment building in Birmingham’s Southside Friday night. Birmingham Fire and Rescue Service crews were dispatched about 6:30 p.m. to the four-unit building in the 1100 block of Cullom Street.
