Fraud of the false representative: a suspect arrested in Gaspésie

An individual who is believed to be involved in a fraud scheme that has claimed several victims in a few days in the Gaspésie has just been apprehended.

The youths are suspected of committing fraud at grocery stores.

A man from Port-Daniel was intercepted in Rivière-au-Renard in connection with false frauds in the RCN of the Côte-de-Gaspé. A dozen citizen reports allowed for the arrest of the individual. The suspect is currently detained pending his appearance. Yesterday, the police proceeded to the arrest of a 41-year-old man from Port-Danie, in connection with frauds of a false representative type reported since 22 April in the MRC de La Côte-de-Gaspé. The man was arrested in the area of a financial institution at Renard Boulevard East in Rivière-au-Renard.
