Gov. Reeves paves way for profitable court reporter careers in Mississippi
The Mississippi Court Reporters Association is advertising for official positions with a new, competitive salary thanks to SB2899, a bipartisan law signed by Gov. Tate Reeves on March 18. In a March 23 article, The Grenada Star reported the new law “significantly increases the pay of new and veteran court reporters and allows them to accept freelance assignments.” The bill, as sent to and signed by Gov. Reeves, goes into effect July 1, 2025.
