Government kicks in $1m to help culturally diverse women learn how to swim

Nearly $1M supports Newcastle’s diverse women in learning to swim, fostering health, safety, and community inclusion.

DuisburgSport and the Stadtsportbund have launched the swimming promotion program "Duisburg learns to swim" for non-swimming children of the third and fourth classes. The Sportstiftung der Sparkasse Duisburg supports the initiative with 100,000 euros this year. Since the end of March, more than 500 students participate in free weekend courses. For the total of 57 courses, five educational pools are available in the city area.
