Bradley International Airport announces major update for certain passengers

A Connecticut airport became the first in the nation to receive the highest level of certification in attending to people diagnosed with autism. On Wednesday, April 2, World Autism Awareness Day, The Connecticut Airport Authority (CAA) announced that Bradley International Airport (BDL) is now the first airport in the United States to be Autism Double-Checked certified.

The World Autism Awareness Day highlights autism spectrum disorders. Recognized and accompanied by children, these disorders are often a source of isolation among adults. Mutual Assistance Groups (MSGs) exist for this audience and enable them to create and maintain an essential social bond.
