Guyana’s president, Irfaan Ali, this Friday called Venezuela’s “ridiculous” to investigate the event in which six Guyanese soldiers were injured on the border between the two countries. During the 48th annual summit of the Caribbean Community (Caricom), held in Barbados, Ali claimed that “it is ridiculous that they can be so insensitive to blame Guyana for this. We have always been responsible, we have always been peaceful in our operation.”
