Gypsum residents are likely to see a petition to raise sales taxes to fund recreational improvements.

Summary by Vail Daily
Gypsum residents may be asked this fall for a 1% increase in the town's sales tax to fund a $29 million plan to improve the community's recreational facilities. On Tuesday, residents were given a glimpse into an ambitious plan for those improvements. The recreation master plan process began in 2022, and an October 2024 presentation resulted in a preliminary plan with improvements to the golf course clubhouse, budgeted at more than $33 million.
