In response to the intensification of migration operations in the Dominican Republic since October last year, and reinforced by 15 new migration measures announced this month, the Haitian Government, through its Embassy and consulates in Dominican territory, has launched a voluntary return programme to assist its affected fellow citizens.

Faced with the rise of violence against Haitians in the Dominican Republic, Haitian diplomacy is raising the tone and initiating a programme of voluntary repatriation.
