Hampton and Kempton Waterworks Railway has received a pre-Christmas gift.

Summary by radiojackie.com
An undisclosed financial donation has been made by Middlesex Freemasons Twickenham Lodge. The money will provide “essential furniture and visual displays” at the railway which opened to the public in 2013. The team there is embarking on a £1.8 million fundraising programme to further extend and reinstate the railway and museum. The original railway was built between 1914 and 1916 to carry coal from a wharf on the River Thames to furnaces.
