Harborne day centre closure: we won't give up fighting as council cuts are hurting the most vulnerable

Birmingham residents are making final efforts to save a lifeline centre for vulnerable adults as its closure date approaches.

The Red Cross cannot finance it itself. Located in a former nursing home in Schaerbeek, a reception centre closes its doors this Friday. It had opened in early January as part of the extreme cold plan. Three people were still sleeping there this night. The employees clean, empty and tidy the spaces.
