Jarryd Hayne has reflected on an “enjoyable weekend” of rugby league action as the former NRL star played his first game in more than six years.

Hayne crashes out in rugby league return

Former Fiji Bati Jarryd Hayne return to rugby league has fallen short after the star flyer had to withdraw early from the Nines Premier League tournament over the weekend. While named a starter in the line-up for the United Sports Club, Hayne was not even part of the warm-up. The 36-year-old pulled a hamstring injury prior to the start of the tournament and did not feature. His return to Wentworthville Magpies is at the moment also unclear.
