He died in the North Sea: Cause of death of the sperm whale of Sylt

His death was puzzling. Scientists investigated him for weeks: the sperm whale of Sylt. Now there is the result of the autopsy.

In mid-February the dead sperm whale had appeared in the harbour of Hörnum on Sylt. At the veterinary college in Hanover the cause of death was now determined. The jaw of the animal is to be exhibited.
