Speed limits to be cut in 'many' more London streets in £87m road safety push

£87m for borough projects - but 14 councils don’t get a penny for ‘safer streets’

Transport for London has announced an £87 million partnership with boroughs including Kingston and Wandsworth.

The money will be spent over three years making streets safer, healthier, and more accessible. The investment will fund cycle routes, School Streets, bus lanes, junction upgrades, and 20mph speed limits. The work supports the Mayor of London’s Vision Zero goal of eliminating deaths and serious injuries on London’s roads by 2041.
